Labour Day 2015: CUF builds the future of Cameroon
Workers from Ebolowa and Avelezok had their 250 pairs of shoes hammered in unison at the Ebolowa Holiday Square on the occasion of the 129th International Labour Day. Preceded by three majorettes in the CUF colours, they proudly marched, each carrying a young plant that will participate in the reforestation of the logging areas. The same evening, safety helmets screwed on the head, goggles and coordinated suits, they organized for their gala party another fashion show! In Ebolowa as well as in Douala, Ambam, Ma’an, Djoum and Fanga, May 1st was celebrated joyfully. Parades, foots matches and receptions allowed CUF employees to meet each other to share friendly and relaxing moments.
Prize for the best job insertion
This year, the Labour Day was especially marked by the award for the best vocational integration in the South region, presented to the management by the Governor of the South region, Jules Marcellin Ndjaga. The CUF has indeed distinguished itself for its civic commitment in favor of the fight against unemployment and the socio-professional integration of young Cameroonians in its various sites of operation. Proof that the CUF is fully involved in “building Cameroon’s future in peace, solidarity and decent work”, according to the theme of the Labor Day 2015.
