Description of the wood:

Bark: grey, possibly stained with red towards the base, thin (0.5-1 cm), smooth, marked with horizontal streaks, cream-coloured fibrous edge.
Sapwood: differentiated, grayish white (5 to 15 cm).
Wood: pinkish brown, greenish yellow or yellowish gray, with a fetid odor when fresh.
Log diameter: from 60 to 120 cm.
