Bark: grey-brown (1.5 cm) with irregular rounded scales; brittle edge, pale pink on the outside, yellowish white on the inside, very fragrant.
Sapwood: well differentiated, whitish.
Wood: pink when fresh, reddish brown in the light, fragrant.

Medium-hard; medium-strength

Mechanical properties:

Elastic, not very shock resistant

Veneer for furniture, fittings, decoration, plywood, flat doors, cabinetmaking, interior and exterior carpentry, parquet floors.
