CUF owns 6 Forest Management Units (FMU), 5 FMU in partnership and 1 communal forest. On 512,000 hectares, CUF operates approximately 20,000 hectares each year. Only 1 or 2 trees are logged for a sustainable resource management.
Since 2010, CUF has expanded its activities to wood processing. It has 4 modern sawing lines with an average production capacity of 55,000 m³ per year of sawn timber, blocks, etc. CUF also has 9 drying chambers with a total capacity of 880 m³ per drying cycle.
Over the years, CUF has strengthened its fleet of vehicles and equipment to meet the growing needs of its forestry and industrial operations. The company exports logs and sawn timber towards more than 30 countries across 5 continents.
CUF is OLB certified for all its forests, whether owned or in partnership. This certificate confirms that CUF complies with national laws and regulations regarding forest Management and logging, social and environmental aspects and maintains a monitoring system of wood from the forest to the sale of wood.
