Ceremony of handing over the keys to the eight new logging trucks

On 4 November 2015, Cameroon United Forests held an official ceremony to hand over the keys of its eight new logging trucks, in the presence of its partners CFAO Equipment, Force Trailer and Alios Finance.

The eight trucks lined up form a hedge of honor in front of the employees of Cameroon United Forests, gathered on the parking lot of the Headquarters in Douala.  The lights start to flash: the green light for the ceremony is launched.  This Wednesday, November 4, the CEO of Cameroon United Forests officially receives from the CEO of CFAO Equipment the keys to its new logging trucks.  “The purchase of these eight trucks represents an important investment, but the most fundamental is the human investment” says Antoine Darazi to his employees, before continuing: “The CUF is a company that continues to grow and it is you who make the CUF so great.”  For his part, Jean-Marc Touret, CEO of CFAO Equipment, remembers that the company «did not have the same colour when we started working with it».  “Today, we congratulate you and thank you for your trust and loyalty.”

Trucks distributed on merit

The ceremony also honours the drivers.  The eight oldest trucks have been sold and the new Renault Trucks Kerax 440 will be redistributed among the 25 truck drivers of the CUF, according to the employee’s merit and seniority.  “I would like to congratulate all truck drivers.  It’s not an easy job.  We expect a lot from them.  Bravo” applauds Jean-Marc Touret.  Thierry Gendre, the CUF Technical Director, sees the acquisition of these trucks as the first step towards a good season: It is like a football team.  Remove eight players who are tired and replace them with eight players in good shape.  We will have fewer outages and more performance.”

The key ceremony was also an opportunity to reward deserving employees of the months of September-October, among the drivers and the Direction/garage. The two award-winning employees, Clément Oyono, truck driver, and Thérèse Mimfoumou, Management Assistant, received vouchers of 100,000 CFA francs from the SOCADA partner, in addition to the 32 inch LCD television screen offered by the CUF. All to the sound of the horns of the trucks.
